<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable continuous operation of a heat exchanger by a method wherein a high pressure water supply pipe is mounted horizontally between heat exchange panels to let the tip of a nozzle be set in the tangential direction of the supply pipe and an injection nozzle itself is turned in the direction of the outer circumference of the pipe or the pipe itself is rotated to achieve a mechanization and automation of cleaning by workers. SOLUTION: Between heat exchange panels 1, a main shaft pipe 10 longer than the width of the panel is pivoted horizontally and one end thereof is supplied with high pressure water from a high pressure pump 12 through a rotary joint 11. The tip part of an injection nozzle of an injection pipe 13 is slightly bent in the tangential direction of the pipe from the radial direction of the pipe so that the main shaft pipe 10 pivoted itself is rotated by an injecting reaction when the high pressure water is injected to be supplied. The high pressure water from the injection nozzle is injected to the surfaces of the heat exchange panels in a specified range of angle, namely, in a conical fashion. The position, especially position in height of the main shaft pipe 10 between the heat exchange panels 1 and the positions, shapes, dimensions and the like of the injection pipe 13 and the injection nozzle are properly selected to cover the most of the heat exchange panels 1 in the height direction as injection cleaning range.</p> |
