PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect information of the location and the like of an automoible in the case of the automobile parked in a parking garage or the like, being stolen. SOLUTION: This location monitoring system is composed of an on-vehicle unit 10 provided at an automobile 1, a parking garage unit 30 provided in a parking garage 3, road units 50 provided at specified spaces along a road 5, a central unit 70 and a command center 80. When the automobile 1 parked in the parking garage 3 is moved without notice, the on-vehicle unit 10 detects that effect and sends out a theft signal to the outside. When the parking garage unit 30 detects the theft signal, the unit 30 closes a gate 39A. When the road units 50 detect the theft signal, the automobile 1 is photographed by cameras 61. The central unit 70 consolidates information acquired by the parking garage unit 30 and road units 50 and transmits it to the command center 80 provided at a police station or the like. |
