Multivalent polynucleotide vaccine for horses comprises >= 3 valencies (i.e. it provides protection against >= 3 equine pathogens), each valency consisting of a plasmid able to express in host cells in vivo one or more of the specified antigen genes from one of the following pathogens: (a) equine pneumonitis virus (EHV) gB and gD genes; (b) equine influenza virus HA, NP and N genes, and (c) at least part of the tetanus toxin subunit C gene.
