PURPOSE:To provide the above card data reading device capable of reading the different card data of a format parameter by simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:Data for encoding respective format parameters are stored in a format card 61. When the format card 61 in which the encorded data of the format parameters used in equipment having a slip printer arranged thereto are stored is read from a card reader 62, an encoded data reading means 63 reads the encoded data to store the same in an encoded data memory means 64. When a card 15 is read by the card reader 62, a card discriminating means 66 discriminates whether the card 65 is a customer card or other card and, at the time of the customer card, customer card data is encoded on the basis of the encoded data in a printing character row forming means 67 and the encoded data is stored in a customer card content memory means 69 to be subjected to the printing of a slip. |
