PURPOSE:To dispense with repetition of trial printing for measuring double in a printing machine and standardize evaluation with respect to the double. CONSTITUTION:Speedometers or accelerometers 1 and 2 for detecting positions of components positioned in a top and bottom direction (peripheral direction) and in a crosswise direction are mounted on cylinders (in the case of a sheet-fed press, a plate cylinder 5, a rubber cylinder 6 and an impression cylinder 7), which cause the occurrence of double. On the other hand, a rotary encoder 4 is mounted on the impression cylinder 7, which constitutes reference, so as to find a position of a printing paper surface 12 with respect to the cylinders, to calculate the deviation of each cylinder, which arises in its top and bottom direction and in its crosswise direction, with respect to the printing paper surface 12. An extent of double and a direction of double can be predicted by computing the deviations thus calculated. |
