The invention entails an apparatus for road vehicles (vehicle-mounted mower), on which is arranged a cutting device for grass, bushes etc. ahead and to the left alternatively to the right of the vehicle. The invention is therefore characterized by, the cutting device (K) being arranged so that it can be rotated in mainly a horizontal plane ahead of the vehicle for mowing on either side of it. The cutting device's supporting parts are arranged in order to be able to be conveyed at right angles to the vehicle's direction of movement (KR).
