An electronic pen (20) for generating a signal corresponding to handwriting of an operator, including a pen body (22), which is grasped and manipulated by the operator in a manner similar to that which the operator would use to write on a page. A pen head (28), coupled to the body, is brought into contact with a surface and is held generally stationary in contact therewith while the operator manipulates the pen body. A transducer (32) is coupled to the pen body so as to generate the signal responsive to the manipulation thereof. |
