PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact developing device being suitable for a compact tandem image forming device by which stable image quality is obtained for a long term. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a developer carrying roll 22 arranged by being opposed to an image carrier 1 carrying an electrostatic latent image and rotated along a carrying path formed through a developing area D by carrying developer on the surface and a developer stirring part 21 arranged above the roll 22 and having a pair of augers 26a and 26b horizontally arranged so as to carry the developer in a rotary shaft direction and in mutually reverse directions and stir it. Besides, it is provided with, a developer transportation means receiving the developer passed through the area D from the roll 22 and transporting it to the stirring part 21, where the means has a developer transporting roll 24-2 carrying the developer at the surface and throwing it up toward the stirring part 21 positioned upward by centrifugal force after raising it halfway once. |
