PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, in the use of a noncontact magnetic-seal-member, a developer leak from the ends of a developer carrier irrespective of an amount of the magnetization of developer and the degree of agglomeration. SOLUTION: The developing device 3 is equipped with the developer carrier 1a which incorporates a permanent magnet 1b, a developer regulator 6a which regulates an amount of developer on the developer carrier 1a and rotates in the same direction as the developer carrier 1a, and the magnetic seal member 7 which prevents a toner leak from the shaft ends of the developer carrier 1a and developer regulator 6a. A side scrape member 8 which contacts the developer regulator 6a is attached to the magnetic seal member 7, to its edge on the side of the developer regulator 6a. |
