PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter capable of preventing the occurrence of short-circuit with counter substrates and obtaining a liquid crystal display device free from display defect. SOLUTION: In this color filter, a black matrix 2 is provided on a transparent substrate, and respective colored layers 3-5 in three primary colors of red, green and blue are provided so as to cover the opening part of this black matrix 2. In this case, plural spacers formed by laminating the respective colored layers 3-5 in three primary colors are provided at one part on the black matrix 2 (A) and the top layer of these respective spacers is separated from the colored layer 5 consisting of that top layer while being formed on the opening part of the black matrix 2 (B). |
