<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user about an image inputting time before inputting an image. SOLUTION: When a user ents the instruction of the start of inputting to a computer 10, the computer 10 decides on a transferring mode by negotiation between with an image input device 20 to store in a storing device 14 (data 1a). The number of the clocks of the computer 10 is stored in a storing device 14 (data 1b) to calculate a transfer rate from the transfer mode and the number of clocks by referring to a transfer rate correspondence table 14c. The computer 10 calculates the data quantity of each resolution, corresponding to an inputting mode selected by the user by referring to a data quanity correspondence table 14d and calculates the inputting time of each resolution from the transfer rate and a data quantity to display on the screen of a display 16. The user looks at a displayed dialog and selects resolution to be applied. The computer 10 commands inputting by the selected resolution and the transfer of inputted image data.</p> |
