PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily input both names or the name o either a place or a street by allowing a controller to first perform, from the beginning of a 2nd list of places or streets, sequential search for the name of a place or a street which is inputted in the form of voice. SOLUTION: A controller 1 is so constructed as to performs first sequential search for the name of a place or a street which is inputted in the form of voice, from the start of a 2nd list of places or streets. After a speech recognizing device 13 analyzes a voice input in such a case, the controller 1 compares the place name of recognized voice with a place name that is supplied from the 2nd place list. The controller 1 evaluates a 1st subset of place names of the 2nd place list in a 1st process and supplies a place name that best resembles the place name of the recognized voice to an output device 5. At this time, search starts at the beginning of the 2nd place list, i.e., from the 1st subset which includes a place that has the largest number of entrances. |
