<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a device to a city expressway corresponding to the classification of two automobile kinds or multiple automobile kinds more than two automobile kinds by judging the forward and backward movement of a vehicle by two pairs of photoelectric tube devices, separately detecting the passing vehicle one by one, and allowing the vehicle from which required charge is collected to pass. SOLUTION: A pair of first vehicle separators 11 and 12 are set while the approach gate entrance of a vehicle 10 toward a toll road is interposed between them and a pair of second vehicle separators 13 and 14 are combined at the downstream side of the passing direction of the vehicle 10 with an interval with the vehicle separators 11 and 12 so that the forward and backward movement of the vehicle 10 can be judged, the passing vehicle 10 can be separately detected one by one, and the passing direction can be detected. Then, an automatic charge collector 16 opens a crossing gate upward when a user pays a sum of money corresponding to the traffic charge to allow the vehicle 10 to pass, and interrupts and prevents the passage of the vehicle 10 from which the charge is not collected.</p> |
