PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device provided with an improved catalyst combustor. SOLUTION: A fuel cell device comprises a fuel reformer heated by a catalyst combustor which in turn is ignited by positive electrode effluent and negative electrode effluent. The combustor is provided with a turbulator section T at an input end part 64 for tightly mixing the positive electrode effluent and the negative electrode effluent, before they come into contact with a major catalyst bed 70 in the combustor. A turbulator has at least one porous bed 76, 80 of a mixed medium to provide a meandering passage to generate turbulence and tight mixture of the positive electrode effluent and the negative electrode effluent. |
