PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send efficiently a plurality of kinds of media data by using multiplex processing. SOLUTION: An input means 11 in the data communication device 1 receives image data, audio data and hand-written character image data from means 2a, 2b, 2c of an input device 2, a data changeover means of a data conversion section 13 selects a type of media data to be sent among the received media data according to a user instruction entered by a data operation section 15. Thus, in the case of selecting media of two kinds or over for a transmission object, a multiplexer means of the data conversion section 13 multiplexes the media data of two kinds or over and a transmission means 14 sends multiplexed data. In the case that only one kind of medium is selected for the transmission object, the transmission means 14 sends only the medium data.
