PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery, wherein leakage of gas and electrolyte within the battery from a vent-hole in the normal condition of the battery are prevented. SOLUTION: At least a rupture plate 53, PTC plate 52 and electrode cap with a vent-hole are fixed to an electrode lid case through caulking of the electrode lid case via an electric insulating gasket 7, here at least one portion of the peripheral side face of the rupture plate 53 are embedded in the wall of the electric insulating gasket 7 and both are airtightly kept between them. The battery can be applied to various batteries, especially to nonaqueous electrolyte lithium-ion secondary batteries of which safety is regarded especially important. |
