PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input Chinese characters (KANJI) through a push-button type telephone set with liquid crystal display having the existent number of keys. SOLUTION: In the storage part of a telephone set having the said storage part, keyboard and display part 200, a key allocation pronunciation description table 750 relating key signals at a keyboard part 100 and how many times these key signals are continuously generated through a standard Chinese pronunciation description and a dictionary 450 making the standard Chinese pronunciation description correspondent to KANJI are stored. When there is an input signal from a key, by referring to the key allocation pronunciation description table 750, the input key signal is converted to a standard Chinese phonetic symbol and while referring to the dictionary 450, the standard Chinese phonetic symbol is converted to the correspondent KANJI. The converted KANJI is displayed on the display part 200. |
