PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment managing device with which a power saving mode can be started synchronously with the power source control of equipment to be managed. SOLUTION: Concerning an equipment managing device 1 for collecting the data of equipment to be managed such as a copy machine C and transmitting these data through a prescribed line to a managing computer, this device is provided with a power supplying means 18 for detecting the start of the power saving mode at the equipment to be managed and switching the supply of power to a main body circuit to the power saving mode.
