<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct transmission/reception of data from a battery-driven device with saved power consumption and to increase a power suppression time of the battery-driven device. SOLUTION: A station desiring to send data in a single cast message to a PS station in the power save mode sends a power management service request message to a control point(CP) that sends a CP beacon(CPB) at a prescribed interval. The PS station is started periodically to receive the CPB. In the case that the CPB includes a start flag of the PS station, the PS station sends a power management state message in terms of multiple address communication to denote that the PS station is started. Upon the receipt of the power management state message, the station starts data transmission to the PS station. The PS station restores to a standby state when the single cast data message is neither received nor sent for a power management expiration period and the received CPB has no start flag set.</p> |
