PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a highly reliable barrier by a simple method by forming a coated layer comprising a hardened substance of raw material liquid by adhering and infiltrating raw material liquid for a barrier onto a surface of a fine barrier formed on a glass substrate. SOLUTION: After a fine barrier body is formed, raw material liquid for a barrier is adhered to its surface by brushing or the like. Thereby, as this raw material liquid infiltrates into babble traces and cracks from a surface of the fine barrier body and those places are filled with it, a coating is formed on the barrier body surface. Before hardening starts, if fine vibration is given by ultrasonic wave to all of a glass substrate, a fine barrier or raw material liquid or to a selected one from them, infiltration of the raw material liquid into the bubble traces and cracks is expedited and they are filled without making any gap. After that, the raw material liquid is hardened to form a coated layer under an ordinary temperature or heating. The thickness of the coating layer is preferably about 10 plus several - severalμm.
