PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of an inexpensive liquid crystal display device capable of enhancing display quality and the efficiency of light and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Since this liquid crystal display device and its manufacturing method use a photosensitive resin in which a coloring material is preliminarily dispersed in a base material to be used for forming of color filters and which has both heat resistance and chemical resistance, it is made possible to form the film thickness of the color filters 12 to 12c of red, green and blue corresponding to the pixels of the liquid crystal display device in roughly the same thickness. Moreover, since light shielding bodies 11 are insulative and the color filters 12a to 12c themselves have both heat resistance and chemical resistance, it is made possible to form a transparent electrode 15 on the color filters 12a to 12c without interposing a protective film. |
