PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimal division predicting device for operating division of a sample as a pre-processing for obtaining a proper statistic for each group from a sample which cannot be projected in a distance space constituted of plural groups, and to predict the optimal division with more excellent retrieval coverage than random retrieval at the sharply smaller number of times of division evaluation. SOLUTION: This predicting device is provided with a sample storage device 1 for holding a sample, division proposing device 2 for preparing a sample division plan according to a two level orthogonal chart using the number of factors as the number of samples, division analyzing device 3 for obtaining the average and variance of the evaluated value of each division assignment of each sample from the evaluated value of each division proposal and the division assignment of each sample in the division proposal based on the orthogonal programming method, and deciding the division assignment when the difference of the averages is larger than a prescribed size with the variance as a reference, division evaluating device 4 for numerically evaluating the obtained division, and deciding the belonging group of each sample based on the two level orthogonal programming method, and display device 5 for displaying the result. |
