PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document analyzing method and device for automatically checking whether or not the design of perspective is used in an existing document. SOLUTION: Part elements with prescribed attributes are extracted from part elements constituting a document by a part element attribute discriminating part 2, and the positions on the document are checked by an outline position calculating part 4. For example, three part elements are extracted in the descending order of the horizontal coordinate value, and the rate of the size of the part elements whose coordinate value orders are adjacent is calculated by a size relation calculating part 6, and whether the part elements are arrayed in the order of the larger size or the smaller size is checked by a size relation judging part 7. On the other hand, the arraying directions of the part elements whose horizontal coordinate values' orders are adjacent are calculated for the extracted three part elements by a position relation calculating part 9, and whether or not the two arraying directions are present in the same quadrant is checked by a position relation discriminating part 10. When the three part elements are arrayed in the order of the larger size or smaller size, and the arraying directions are present in the same quadrant, it is discriminated that depth perception is used. |
