PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a conversion ratio by further easily and accurately ena bling pinyin input with a voice tone without preventing the input operation of a user as much as possible. SOLUTION: A voice tone input rule for discriminating the kind of a voice tone according to the font of each character of a pinyin character string is defined in a voice tone input rule table 25. When the input of the pin-in character string and an instruction for conversion is obtained through an inputting part 21, a controlling part 22 executes the conversion processing through a converting part 23. In this case, the converting part 23 discriminates the kind of the voice tone from the font of each character of the pinyin character string by referring to the voice tone input rule table 25, and retrieves a Chinese conversion dictionary 24 based on the kind of the voice tone and the pinyin character string, and converts the pinyin character string into Chinese characters. |
