PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the abnormal drop of magnetic intencity from a magnetically recorded information and to inform a customer of the abnormal drop before disabling a transaction by judging whether the read output signal level of an information recording medium read out by a reading part is abnormal or not and outputting a guide message indicating the abnormality of the information recording medium from a guide part in accordance with the judged result. SOLUTION: When a customer inserts his own magnetic card into a magnetic card inserting/ejecting port, a medium reading/writing part 12 reads out information written in the card. A control part 121 in the reading/writing part 12 judges whether the level of read output signal of the card is abnormally low or not. When the level is less than a regulated value, the control part 121 sets up a flag indicating the abnormally low state of the read output signal level of the card to ON. Then a message 'There is abnormality in data of the magnetic card. Please ask the window' or the like is displayed on an operation guide part. |
