PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte free of liquid leakage which has high ion conductivity, does not cause deterioration of a material to form an electrochemical element, and permits thin and laminate construction of the electrochemical element. SOLUTION: A highpolymer solid electrolyte consists of a polyvinyl imidazolinium compound and a metal salt, wherein the polyvinyl imidazolinium compound is expressed by the attached equation, where (n) is integer 2 or more, R1 and R2 are alkyl radical with the number of carbons 1-4, and R3 is hydrogen or alkyl radical with the number of carbons 1-4. The counter ion of polyvinyl imidazolinium is chloride ion, bromide ion, or iodide ion, and the metal salt is LiClO4 , LiPF6 , LiBF4 , AlCl3 , AlBr3 , or AlI3 . |
