PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document analyzing method and device for automatically checking whether or not the design of the contrast of the sizes of characters is used in an existing document. SOLUTION: A part element attribute judging part 2 extracts character part elements from part elements constituting a document, a size calculating part 5 calculates the sizes, and a size value arranging part 6 classifies the values of the sizes. A size rate calculating part 7 calculates the rate of the sizes between the adjacent size values, and a size rate checking part 8 compares the rate of the sizes with a prescribed threshold value, and when the number of the rate which is the threshold value or more is 1, a size value dividing part 9 divides the whole size values into two groups. A maximum value and minimum value extracting part 10 extracts the maximum value and the minimum value of the size values for each group, and the size ratio checking part 9 checks the rate of the maximum value to the minimum value, and when it is less than a threshold it is judged that the design of the contrast of the sizes of characters is used. |
