PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain simple teletext communication, regardless of the speech state of a radio channel without provisions for a reception means of a push button PB (frequency-combined tone) to a center equipment in a mobile radio communication system. SOLUTION: An input form of a control command of an interface card 2 connecting to a portable computer 1 is partly extended. In transmission from the portable computer 1, a character code is received in succession to a communication number of an opposite party and sent to the interface card 2. The interface card 2 receiving it discriminates it to be character communications utilizing a control channel, and the transmission control information and character information are sent to a portable radio terminal 3. The portable radio terminal 3 sends the control information, including the character information received from the interface card 2, to a control channel connected to center equipment 5, 6. The center equipment 6 sends the received character information to a portable radio terminal 8 or a communication terminal of the communication opposite party. The portable radio terminal 8 which received the character information displays the character information on its display section. |
