PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode which can improve mass-productivity when a plurality of light emitting diodes is arranged three-dimensionally. SOLUTION: A holder 20 holds a plurality of light emitting diodes 10 in a state where the diodes 10 are three-dimensionally arranged, and the surface of the holder 20 on which the diodes 10 are arranged is formed in a partially cut-off spheric surface. The holder 20 has a plurality of inserting sections 21 formed for inserting the emitting surfaces 16 of the light emitting diodes 10. A first flat substrate 30 is used for mounting the light emitting diode 10 arranged on the bottom of the holder 20. Second flat substrates 40a-40e are used for mounting the light emitting diodes 10 arranged on the part of the holder 20 other than the bottom and formed in annular shapes having different radii. The second flat substrates 40a-40e are arranged in steps along the center axis of the holder 20, so that the center axes of the substrates 40a-40e may roughly become coincident with the center axis of the holder 20. |
