PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an optical fiber cord from being damaged by pressing a part near a connection part or hooking a finger by providing a protection part for covering the part near the connection part to an optical connector or an optical module. SOLUTION: This protective holder 4 is an integrated component formed by plastic or the like and is formed in an almost hollow square pole provided with an inclined part 4a. At the inclined part 4a and an upper surface 4b, a slit 4c slightly wider than the outer diameter of the optical fiber cord is formed and the optical fiber cord is housed in an optical fiber cord housing space inside the protective holder 4 through the slit 4c. On the bottom surface 4f of the protective holder 4, two locking projections 4g for being fixed to a circuit board are erected and elastic locking pawls 4h are provided on the tip parts. Then, by passing the locking projection 4g through a through-hole formed on the circuit board and locking the elastic locking pawl 4h to the bottom surface of the circuit board, the protective holder 4 is fixed to the surface of the circuit board. |
