<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video stabilization device using bit plane matching and its method. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a field memory for storing digital video information, a motion detection circuit 101 for utilizing a bit plane matching system and outputting a motion vector by the inter-field moving amount of the video information for which motion is generated, and a motion correction circuit 103 for using the motion vector outputted from the motion detection circuit, moving the video information stored in the field memory 102 in the opposite direction of the motion vector and correcting the video information. Since only the binary video information of a specified bit plane is stored in the memory from input video information, the capacity of the memory is reduced. Also, since only a simple logical operation is performed to the bit plane, a high-speed arithmetic operation is performed. Especially, since and exclusive OR operation(EOR) is realized by a simple circuit in the matching process of the bit plane, the structure of the entire video stabilization system is extremely simplified.</p> |
