PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of oxygen sensor element excellent in responsiveness and mechanical strength. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of an oxygen sensor element 5 comprising a sintered body 1 including sintering assistant, after a sintering assistant component near the surface of the sintered body 1 is removed by etching, an external electrode 4 is formed on the surface of the sintered body 1, and then the sintering assistant component is returned back to near the surface of the sintered body 1 by a heating treatment at a temperature of 1000 to 1500 deg.C. Thus the oxygen sensor element 5 excellent in responsiveness and mechanical strength can be manufactured. |
