PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a visual field expanding film, excellent in handleability, especially hardly causing the deformation such as warp in an electro-optic display device such as a liquid crystal display device to be mounted superimposedly in the case of using both sides of the film as a structural face, and to provide the liquid crystal display device using the film. SOLUTION: In this visual field expanding film, a lot of mortar-shaped recesses 12 and 14 are provided with the diameter of 1 to 1000 μm, the depth of a central part of >=1 μm which is <=13 thickness of a transparent film 1 on at least one side of the transparent film 1 and concerning the production thereof and liquid crystal display device using the same, a lot of mortar-shaped recesses 12 and 14 are provided by dispersing fine spherical bodies over the surface of a transparent solution casting film in the state of not hardening that film yet, embedding one part of these fine spherical bodies in the transparent solution casting film and removing these fine spherical bodies after the said transparent solution casting film is hardened. Besides, this visual field expanded film is mounted on a liquid crystal; display screen superimposedly. |
