<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control sulfuric acid solution to desired temperature, and extend the life of a cooler pipe by providing an intermediate trough with a funnel shape in section between the cooler pipe and a water-sprinkle trough. SOLUTION: An intermediate trough 8 with a funnel shape in section is provided between a cooler pipe 5 and a water-sprinkle trough 6. The intermediate trough 8 has slit shaped opening parts. The intermediate trough 8 is attached to the cooler pipe 5 so as to locate the opening parts at the central part of the upper surface of the cooler pipe 5. Sea water supplied from the water- sprinkle trough 6 is temporarily pooled in the intermediate trough 8, and then, falls in a a laminar flow to the central part of the cooler pipe 5 from the opening parts, so that all periphery of the cooler pipe 5 is substantially uniformly cooled. Thus, sulfric acid solution can be controlled to desired temperature and the generation of the local corrosion of the cooler pipe 5 can be suppressed.</p> |
