PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cooling water from being splashed to the outside of a cooling tower by providing a guide plate which can be inclined to the lower part of side wall touching a filter block at the time of stopping a cooling fan and can be shifted to a position where an air flow introduced to the filler block is not impeded at the time of operating a cooling fan. SOLUTION: A guide plate 11 is set at the lower part of a side wall 10 abutting on a filter block 3 and a slide member 12 is projected from the guide plate 11. The slide member 12 is partially cut off in the lateral wall 13 orthogonal to the side wall 10 so that it can reciprocate in the A, B directions. At the time of operating a cooling fan, the slide member 12 is slid in the direction A and retracted from an air conduction space so that it does not block air conduction. At the time of stopping the cooling fan, the slide member 12 is stud in the direction B and the forward end part P inclining obliquely downward is advanced into a cooling tower so that the cooling water dropping along the side wall 10 is introduced into the cooling tower. |
