PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device provided with an improved combustor. SOLUTION: This fuel cell device comprises a fuel reformer 2 heated by a catalyst combustor 28 which is ignited by an anode effluent 20 and/or fuel from a liquid fuel supply source to provide fuel for a fuel cell. The combustor 28 has a vaporizer zone heated by combustion discharge gas to evaporize fuel before it is supplied to the combustor 28. Cathode effluent 22 is used as basic oxidant for the combustor 28. |
