PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system capable of positioning and its positioning method, where positioning with high accuracy is attained without dependence on position detection information upon a service zone of a radio base station. SOLUTION: In a mobile communication system capable of positioning and its positioning method, a mobile radio terminal 4 has a loopback means that loops back a signal received on a channel with respect to a radio base station 3 and connects with a positioning system and a communication control center 2 via the channel. The positioning system is provided with a means that sends a positioning signal to the communication control center 2, a means that measures a radio wave propagation delay time (phase) from a looped-back positioning signal, and a calculation processing means that measures the distance based on the radio wave propagation delay time (phase). |
