<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip component capable of connecting an extraction electrode and an outer electrode adequately without an increase in size of the chip component. SOLUTION: A chip 1 has each recess 1a with a slanted face on both upper ends of the chip 1. Part of an extraction electrode 3 is put along each slanted face of the recessed part 1a, while an outer electrode 4 is partly overlapped with the extraction electrode 3 at the upper part of the recess 1a. Then, the surface area of the extraction electrode 3 in the given size of the chip 1 can be increased as compared with a conventional one, in which the extraction electrode 3 is formed on a flat face. In addition, a connection area between the extraction electrode 3 and the outer electrode 4 is increased and the connection is made well, so the size of the chip 1 is not necessarily made large as in a conventional way for making good connection between the extraction electrode 3 and the outer electrode 4. The compact chip part is obtained without increasing the size of the chip 1.</p> |
