PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce developer electrification failure which is caused during developer replenishment and to stabilize image density. SOLUTION: A developer carrier 1 and a second developer stirring rod 22 in a second compartment 7 are driven with the same first motor 9. A first developer stirring rod 21 in a first compartment 6 is driven with a second motor 29. A magnet roll 3 in a hopper 18 is driven with a third motor 19. Thus, the drive of the developer stirring member 21 situated nearest to the developer carrier 1 is made independent of the drive of the developer carrier 1 and the drive of the magnet roll 3. |
