PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary power consumption at the time of waiting reception by limiting the operation of a radio slave station to be within an irreducibly minimum period. SOLUTION: In a signal recognizing system recognizing line establishment by allowing a radio slave station 2 connected to a meter 1 to recognize an identification signal transmitted by a master station equipment 4 while intermittently operating, a periodical signal characteristic to a system is used and the station 2 detects the periodical signal characteristic to this system to recognize significant communication within its own system or not, and recognizes an individual address signal following the periodical signal characteristic to the system to stepwise recognize a communication request to its own station or not to limit the operation of a circuit within the irreducibly minimum period.
