The aim of the invention is to improve the oxidation and bleaching effect of peroxygen compounds. This is essentially achieved by using transition metal complexes with one or several polyamidoamine-type dendrimer ligands. Detergents and cleaning agents, especially those used to wash dishes in dishwashers, contain approximately 0.0025- 0.25 wt. % of an active substance of this type to enhance the bleaching effect.
