The invention concerns methods for transmitting and displaying updated data from a central server to at least on subscriber station, via a digital communication network, wherein each subscriber can connect his station to the server. The device comprises a central server (1) containing data, a digital communication network (2) for transferring data from the server (1) to at least one subscriber station (3), at least one subscriber station (3) consisting of a storage system (4) for data already transmitted by the server (1) and recorded and a system for comparing (5) transmitted and recorded data, a digital disk reader (6), for each station (3), and means for simultaneously displaying stored data and disk data for each station (3) data disk. The invention is particularly applicable in distribution networks of companies for ensuring commercial and after-sales service.
