<p>The invention concerns a fuel pump, in particular petrol, particularly for directly injecting fuel into a motor vehicle internal combustion engine, characterised in that it is a hydraulic gear pump (1) comprising a housing (3) defining a cavity wherein are mounted rotating in opposite directions, two mutually meshing cogs (7, 8), intake (11) and delivery (12) chambers for hydraulic fluid being provided on either side of the cog (7, 8) meshing zone (15) and the pump is provided with additional peripheral sealing means for preventing fuel leakage between the fuel intake and delivery chamber (11, 12), depending on the decrease in viscosity of the hydraulic fluid. The invention is applicable to motor vehicles with distribution pump.</p> |
