The personal digital assistant is in the form of a pocket sized unit that contains addresses, a diary and a notebook facility. The unit has a main housing (1) that has a touch sensitive display screen (2) and a number of function keys (2A). Hinged to the body is a cover (3) and on the outer surface is a microphone and a loudspeaker that form part of a mobile telephone system.
