PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration type gyroscope capable of measuring rotation angular velocity with high sensitivity. SOLUTION: In this vibration type gyroscope constituted of plural vibration pieces 2-4 and a base part 5 for connecting the plural vibration pieces for supplying driving vibration within a prescribed surface to the vibration pieces and obtaining the rotation angular velocity from detection vibration corresponding to the added rotation angular velocity, the vibrator l is supported in a small area 6 where the area of the smallest detection vibration is localized.
