ELECTROCHEMICAL SYRINGE PUMP

An electrochemically driven syringe pump (10) for infusion of medicament wherein the pump has a detachable barrel (14) in which medicament can be stored and subsequently infused, the pump further comprising a pre-pressurizing apparatus operative to minimize delay in the delivery of medicament. The pump is further adapted for storage as the charge transfer medium is sealed in a reservoir prior to activation.
