Preparation of transformed wood

摘要

Preparation of transformed wood comprises: (a) introducing a recombinant DNA molecule into plant cells, fibres or plants, where the recombinant DNA encodes an enzyme which is capable of changing components of the plant cell walls; (b) regenerating a transformed plant from the plant cell, plant fibers or plants of (a); and (c) cultivating the transformed plant of (b) under conditions which aid the development of wood and the expression of the enzyme.
