The invention relates to office and work furniture comprising a table top or work top and an underframe with at least two legs and at least one standing support surface resting on the floor to provide support to said top. A running exercise device embodied in the form of a continuous moving pavement fits inside the spatial structure of the inventive furniture item in a position of non-use and can be shifted from said position into an operational position whereby it can be moved and or pivoted on the floor in front of the table top or work top and can be fixed in this position. The running exercise device consists of at least one supporting frame and a continuous moving pavement which is guided by means of two deflection rollers arranged therein. The moving pavement can be made of rubber or consist of lamellar segments. It is surrounded by a lateral cover and provided with sliding and rolling elements. |
