<p>A telecommunications system includes an access terminal and multiple channel unit cards coupled to the access terminal. The channel unit cards are configured to sense on-hook/off-hook signals on subscriber lines coupled to respective ones of the channel unit cards. Each channel unit card is configured to process received on-hook/off-hook signals and to send a message-oriented signal to the access terminal. Each message-oriented signal includes a value representing a dialed digit corresponding to on-hook/off-hook signals received in the respective one of the channel unit cards.</p> |
