摘要 <p>A fuel pressure relief system (40) for a dual fuel engine (42) including at least one gaseous fuel admission valve (10) positioned between a gaseous fuel inlet region (52, 44, 48) and an air intake region (46, 50) is provided. The system (40) includes a first pressure sensor (64) positioned in the gaseous fuel inlet region (52, 44, 48) and a second pressure sensor (68) positioned in the air intake region (46, 50). An electronic controller (62) is connected to the first pressure sensor (64) and the second pressure sensor (68). A gaseous fuel vent path extends between the gaseous fuel inlet region (52, 44, 48) and a portion of an air intake path of the engine (42). A vent valve (76) is positioned along the gaseous fuel vent path and is connected to the electronic controller (62) for control thereby. When the differential pressure across the gaseous fuel admission valve (10) exceeds a predetermined level the fuel vent valve (76) is opened to relieve the pressure.</p>
